The weather conditions so far this year have been some of the worst on record. At present the ground at the allotment is still very much saturated so little or no work has been done .
I have been today (16th February) just to empty the kitchen caddy in to the rotating compost bin . Whilst I was there I began a bit of maintenance on the fruit cage which hopefully I shall complete before February is out.
Yesterday I harvested 3 kgs of Jerusalem Artichokes , 500 grams of which I used to make crisps for dipping whilst we watched a film in the evening.
On Thursday I harvested 100grams of Curly Kale and 110grams of Spinach and 80 grams of Red Curly Kale.
